Housing Associations

The role of Housing Associations is to provide accommodation that is affordable, secure and well maintained.

Housing Associations are regulated by the Tenant Services Authority, they ensure that tenants have a say in how their homes are managed.

You can apply directly as they all hold their own waiting lists, due to the limited amount of housing that becomes available we recommend that you register with as many of the Housing Association as possible.

Please be aware that:
  • All Housing Associations will carry out previous housing history check
  • All have strict criteria on past debts
  • They may suspend your application for up to 2 years
(if people have rent arrears, ASB issues, or have committed serious crimes etc, suspension will last until you have demonstrated a commitment to addressing the issues)
